Cynthia Avers, MA, LCPC, NCC
Cynthia is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Roosevelt University where she graduated with honors. Cynthia works in a warm and supportive manner and she is specialized working with the Highly Sensitive Person. She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is an empirically validated approach combining Humanistic and Existential perspectives with Cognitive Behavioral Tools. She is also Phase Two trained in Brainspotting, which is a brain-body based approach for healing anxiety, depression, and trauma that is trapped in the nervous system. She is experienced working with emerging adults and people managing a variety of life transitions throughout the life span. Cynthia is confident that she is able to provide a positive way to move forward with a roadmap that is individually tailored for each client’s journey.
