Emily is a licensed clinical social worker who provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. Emily is grounded in developmental, cognitive-behavioral, and systems theories. Her approach is client-centered, solution-focused, and strengths-based.

Emily uses talk therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness, relaxation/stress reduction, and skill building strategies to assist clients to develop strengths and find the tools necessary to create a sense of self-awareness. Additionally, she is a registered yoga teacher certified in both child and adult yoga and has trained in a trauma sensitive yoga approach, which assists clients with addressing traumatic events.

In session, Emily seeks to create a warm, safe, collaborative, and supportive environment to assist clients in beginning the change process and finding resolution. Emily received her master’s in clinical social work from the University of Chicago. She has over 10 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with a range of developmental, health related, and psychiatric disorders.

I seek to create a warm, safe, collaborative, and supportive environment to help you to begin the change process. Therapy is not “one size fits all” and therefore, it is critical to tailor a treatment plan that works for you. I utilize evidence-based treatments to guide my therapy.
