Child and Adolescent Counseling at MCHH

Children and Adolescent Counseling or psychotherapy includes pairing your child with one of our compassionate therapists with a goal of helping them manage or overcome their stress and suffering. After the initial session, ongoing individual counseling is a common and useful means of personal growth and achievement of one’s full potential. Clients would meet their therapist in our offices each week. During times of crisis or depending on the client’s needs and goals, one may choose to meet their therapist multiple times per week.

Children (5 to 12)
Many children may struggle with words to describe what they are feeling and may act out their emotions in many different ways. Our counselors will use age-appropriate techniques to help your child feel comfortable exploring their feelings.

Adolescents / Teens (13 to 19)
Some teens may find it difficult to deal with and discuss various situations that are occurring in their lives. We are there to support them in exploring and processing these events from a different viewpoint.
